Do you need a cites permit transporting a corn?
I live in Canada, and I'm interested in bringing back a few cornsnakes from Tinley when it comes up. I know I can't bring back any boas or pythons, but what about corn snakes? And any other colubrids?

I thought cites was just for animals that are endangered in the wild?
Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species
I did not see it on the website at all.
For future reference the site is
http://www.cites.org/index.html

Oh I forgot, check with your local laws before buying one just to be sure.

I do not believe corns require cites permits, but other permits might be required.
A corn breeder up in canada might be able to tell you more, since they have probably imported corns on more than one occasion. Another possibility would be to ask one of the big corn breeders in the US that do a lot of online business, because they probably get international orders.
EDIT: I found this on Kathy Love's site:

OK, for some reason that link didn't bring you to where I thought it would, and in the meantime my edit window expired.
Anyway, just click that link and then click after the first paragraph where it says "Click for SHIPPING to CANADA and WORLDWIDE".
