    Re: caulkers cay boas..

I am not an expert, but I have two of them. Both breeders recommended normal boa care, except smaller meals than normal. From reading the Complete Boa Book, as well as other books and research on the web I understand that they are normally a little bit smaller than most CA boa and normally eat small lizards and such at first. They readily take rodents, but you have to go with smaller prey. Mine are about the width of my thumb (I am a 5'2" female) and are taking large mouse pinkys/small peach fuzz pinkys. I fed my male a slightly larger meal once and sure enough he reguritated it.

I really like them, though. Both are calm, curious and cute! They have really nice silvery tones and cool head markings IMHO.

    Best wishes.
    Cheers,
