    He? is a She!

This is a funny one. I picked a BP up from someone on Craigslist back in October. The BP was free and the only reason I picked it up was because I know a couple of people that are looking for one. So I figured I would hold pick it up and make sure everything is OK with it before I give it to them. The person I picked it up from said it was a male and I never bothered to pop or probe the BP. I was cleaning my racks the other day and this particular BP had shed and was very light in color and was acting different. So I decide to pop this BP and wouldn’t you know it he turns out to be a she… I was like WHAT!? I wanted to make sure so I grab my probe kit and yeah it’s a girl. I have a male pastel that has been producing sperm like a crazy so I threw them in together and this is what I saw.

They have been locked for 24 hours now. This is my first year breeding BP and my second tale lock of the season. Moratl of the story DOUBLE check the sex of your animals. I cant believe I never checked this one. I am glad I cycled it with the rest of my BP.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Nice luck! you must have horseshoes!!!
I had a 'male' pastel turn out to be a female last year; bought as part of a package and was pretty stoked to find that he was a she @900g. So far she's seen a spider, a mojave, a cinnamon, and a YB. Focus has really moved on to making pastaves now tho.
    Congratulations!!!!!!
