    Reading the Acurite

I have a question about reading the acurite. With the humidity part how doI get a correct reading? Does the humidity get measured through the probe or with the unit itself? I have had the same reading for the longest time no matter what i have done to change it. The probe is the only part that is in the tub. It is located about 3 inches above my substrate in the middle of the tank and the tub. I am also confused about the minimum and maximum readings. I figured out the readings for the temperature but not for the humidity. Can someone please help clear this up for me?

    Re: Reading the Acurite

Put the entire unit in the tub, that is what measures the humidity and the "indoor" temp. There is a little grated opening on the bottom of the back of the unit, that is where the humidity is measured from.

The min/max just shows you the min and max readings that it has taken. You shouldn't really have to mess with that.

Your probe should be under the substrate, right above the UTH inside the tub.

    Re: Reading the Acurite

This could be why I am not getting the right readings. Wow I feel that much dumber now..lol. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

I have 3 thermometers in my tubs. The acurite in the middle and two that measure just temperature on the other sides. I will change that around tonight. Thanks again!
