Re: A dog dreaming
I'm pretty sure it was discovered that the dog actually has epilepsy.

Re: A dog dreaming
My brother's dog has epileptic seizures and they did look a bit like what that dog was doing. Sadie would have flung herself against walls or down stairs if you didn't gently restrain her or at least keep her from bashing into things by using your body to block her movement. Her fits lasted a lot longer than that dog though and she was far more rigid at times. It was awful to see.

Re: A dog dreaming
I've had two dogs that suffered with seizures, that video did NOT look like a seizure. The dog woke up once it hit the wall, if it were a seizure it wouldn't suddenly end from hitting the wall and be able to stand there. Plus it looked to be to coordinated of a running motion. When a dog has a seizure it's very uncoordinated and rigid.

Re: A dog dreaming
Our dogs dreamt like that as well... not as severely mind you.
Never saw a seizure (at least not one that I knew was a seizure).

You could throw him in the bath tub with your laundry and some soap, and save a few pennies on the electric bill.

I about woke up my sleeping fiancee LOLing at that comment.
I actually watched this video a few days ago in my history class and about LOLed in class, that would have been embarrassing.
