    Fire Ball Question!!

Now when you breed two fires together, does it mean you have 25% chances of gettin a black eyed lucy per egg, or like per clutch? Like im saying if you had 24 eggs all from fire pairs, you should technically get 6 BEL's out of the 24?

    Re: Fire Ball Question!!

Thats the odds....but it doesn't always work that way. I've seen a normal x enchi clutch with only six eggs be all enchi babies. On the other hand I've heard of a pair of het albinos having to be bred three years before the first albino was hatched. Thats just a figure to go by but by no means think it's set in stone.

yeah nothings ever set in stone when it comes to genetics it seems haha. I just read something on youtube though, and it said like per egg? And I was like woah man, those are some crappy odds lol.

    wait ok, im stupid....

another quickie, but what happens when you take two recessive's and breed them to each other. Like 2 pieds, or 2 clowns?

    Re: Fire Ball Question!!

Recessive visuals are homozygous for whatever particular mutated gene they express. Homozygous to homozygous breedings always result in homozygous offpsring.

A visual pied to visual pied(hom. to hom.) has 100% pied for offspring. Same for clowns, albinos, and all other recessives.

    Re: Fire Ball Question!!

the good thing about breeding fires together is becuase you will either get the super form fire(lucy) and everything else will come out fire there are no hets . . .

Fire x Fire = Lucys and Fires

    Isn't Fire x Fire =
    1 lucy

    1 normal

sorry dude half asleep over here . . . .

Fire is a co-dominant manner, with Fires being the het form, the homo form (super) is the black eyed lucy . . .u will still get normals unless u are lucky!!
    Cheers!
