    gaining to fast ??

I looked and didn't see it ( know me I looked right at it)a post about a rescue i got the day befoer xmas. well I checking the weights as i feeding tonight and in the last 2 months the rescue snake ( which was not eating , kept in a too cold room ,and with a live gerbil )came to me about 1200 grams. I checked the weight today with a asf ( adult) on the way down i weigh the guy at 1500+ and that after I took about 60 grams off for the asf. I not sure if that more less empty or with a gut full of crap waiting to come out .I think a 300+ gram increas is a great proof of a health snake and hopefully full snakes lol..

hecky my oct purchased babies have not gained that much . they about tripled their weight and are in the 300 gram area now..

iI was wonderign is this a possible tyoo much increase .. i figuer some of it may be waste it yet ot release ..

That weight gain is just fine, especially with a rescue. Just keep on it, offer once a week and you'll be fine.

It's always amazed me how much weight a poorly cared for snake can regain once they are being well cared for. It's like they literally suck every single bit of goodness out of that prey animal and gain weight very efficiently from it. Glad to hear your rescue is doing so well.
