Any guidance for NW Illinois breeders?

I want to avoid picking up a 1.1 from super-chain pet stores out in my area. Would love to find a breeder to pick up a male and female. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Go thru the for sale trade forum, I'm sure you'll find some there maybe even in your area so you don't have to pay shipping.

stick with the hooded rats and dont buy adults. if you want something that you can handle get a young weanling pair and handle them some. i would stay away with the pet stores because of diseases. i wish you would of post this a few weeks ago before you came down this way i would of hooked you up.

your not going to ship rodents other than airport to airport its costly and you would have to have vet certs for both animals which would also be costly.

Head up to the All Animal Expo. Next show is Sunday. There are usually around 3-5 guys selling live rats.
