i sure hope someone can help!

my 2 year old cali king doesn't seem to be feeling well. i'm pretty sure she's ready to shed, but it's just not happening. she's been dull and yellowish for a couple of weeks now. i've seen her soaking in her water dish, but only a couple of times.
what really worries me, though, is that in the last few days she's become really listless. she barely wants to turn over when put on her back. i'm not an expert, but even i know that's usually not a good sign.

i thought i'd see if anyone here had any ideas. should i get her to the vet? she's my sweetie and i'm really scared for her.

First thing is first.
How is your heat? Hot side and cool side?
Did she just come out of brumation?
Are her eyes clear or is she still opaque? for how long?
How is her breathing? Can you hear it?

The shedding process from opaque to shed shouldn't take more than a week or maybe a little over. 7-10 days.
Sometimes for breeding or pre-egg laying it may last longer but no more than 2 weeks. 7-14 days

I am no Vet but at least we can cover the basics. And by the time you bring her to the vet(one that is familiar with herps) you already have some observations.

Have you tried to assist that shed off her. My daughter's Nelson's Milksnake always has the worst time shedding during the dry air of the winter months. No matter what we do to adjust her enclosure she just always gets stuck sheds and goes very off in her behaviours. It's odd to use the word "depressed" for a snake but it's like that - she's less active, less interested in the world.

We soak her for a bit in tepid water then VERY gently help the shed off with a warm slightly rough facecloth. Usually she perks right up after that and will take a feeding 24 hours later and goes back to her normal routines.

the little brat finally decided to shed during the night. after a good meal she seems to be back to her normal, feisty self.
she sure did scare me this time, though. she never acted like that before. not good for the nerves!
