In my opinion, I think the 30gal is a bit on the big side. You can do 2 things - put a divider to use only half the tank, or jam pack the whole place up with decor so that there's hardly any open spaces. I was very successful in putting a bp that same size (who was on a hunger strike before I bought her) in a 10-gallon jam-packed with stuff. She stopped cruising after 2 hours and she ate 3 days later!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

    Re: new tank question

I agree with the above post. The tank seems a little big, but will be perfect once he gets a little bigger.

Also agree with the earlier posts. It's too large for that small of a snake and if it's too large with it being completely open, then stress can set in.
Success is just one decision, one commitment and a whole lot of hard work away…
