    Wow! that just happened.

well today was feeding day and i picked up a few mice from a local pet store, the little crazy fast ones. well i took the plastic lid off of the portable cage i took with me to the pet store to put the mice in and one of those little ******* jumped out! but the good thing is i have an inside dog, a beagle at that, and it took the beagle literally 3 seconds to run the mouse down and subdue it long enough for me to grab it with a pair of tongs. i mean ive never had a mouse hop out of a cage on me but i feel alot safer now that i know i have backup if it ever happens again.

Mice are pretty jumpy! I always get them by the scruff of their neck or base of their tail. Trying to cup them up never works. I haven't had them jump yet, even when I put them in shallow containers, they never even try to jump out.

Get a mouse leash. just kidding.

Do you have temporary housing for your feeders? I give mine a wheel, and that keeps them from bouncing off the walls.

They will love you until the end of their mousy days if you get them a wheel. I don't know what it is about exercise that is so exciting.

That might explain the mouse that my snake won't eat...besides the fact that the mouse has the identical colors and markings of my white and tan Jack Russell

I swear that mouse is even more hyper than the Jack. So my dogs name is Obie and my gf named the mouse OJ...Obie Jr
