    New BP feeding

So I have spent a whole lot of time researching before I got my BP on Tuesday. But I just realized what I'm not sure about is how to approach feeding her in her new environment. She spends most of her time in the hide, so my question is when Tuesday comes along and its feeding day if she's in the hide how should I go about feeding her? Should I move the hide from over top of her or should I leave the thawed mouse sitting out in front of her and coax her out of the hide? Again any help would be very much appreciated. THANK YOU

Was she eating f/t before you got her? If she wasn't, she may not convert right away for you.

Leave the hide on her, pre-scent (leave thawed rodent on top of her enclosure for 15 to 30 minutes). When her head comes out of the hide like she's interested and testing the air, you can offer. Heat up the head of the rodent with a hair dryer, or touch the nose on a heat lamp for 10 seconds.

Put rodent on tongs, and offer to her (you may have to move the rodent to appear alive).

If she refuses, do not offer again for a full week. The common mistake new keepers make is they try multiple times in the same week, which really puts the snake more off feed.

    Re: New BP feeding

For my BP I simply remove the hide and away she goes...once shes done I wait a while and then i place the hide back in the tank and she goes in and mission accomplished.
