    Awww!

Yesterday, I looked over to see my little guy sticking his head out of his hide (it has 3 different access holes) Wondering what he was doing, I watched him bring himself out just far enough to get to his water bowl..

And I saw him drink!!! I was so excited and it was so cute!

Part of him was still in his hide, he had a big drink then pulled himself back in.

That's cute. I find that my corn snake doesn't drink that much. I often see him drink after his meal. Once or twice he has had the one drop of water from the rim of the dish ha-ha. It's cute to see the gulps, but in effect, he drinks such a tiny amount.

Awwwwww! I don't know why but I just love watching a snake drink from their water dish. They are so delicate about it. Of course after watching my goofy Labrador take a drink (and flood the immediate area of her waterdish)....well pretty much anything would appear delicate in comparision to that LOL.

Next time you catch your snake doing cute stuff - take pics!

LOL I think the same way when I watch my Boxer take a drink...or eat something and still have some hanging out of his lip!

I'll take pics next time for sure....I was so busy staring at him to even think of it that time!

    Re: Awww!

I love water-drinking pics. I have a few of Alice, but I never can figure out how to resize so I can post. Both Alice and Charger, by BPs, are dainty with the water. My newest addition, a tiny little BCI, dunked his entire head all the way past his eyes into the water dish. I laughed so hard

Several months ago, my sister's family rescued a little amel corn from outside in the cold and I fostered it for them. As soon as she discovered the water bowl, she practically inhaled every drop of it! I've never seen anything like it. I can only imagine how long she'd been without water...poor little thing As for how she is now, happy, healthy and growing like a weed at my sister's house

I will have to make it my mission to take a photo of my corn snake drinking. Although it will be difficult because, it's soon over - ie that all important couple of drops!
