    Thumbs down The Boa Store

About three weeks ago I ordered a rtb from The Boa store. Well due to the weather we had to wait a week before she could be shipped out. During that time we stayed in contact with the owner. We made sure to ask the owner how she feed the snake and she said frozen adult mice, she even made sure we feed frozen and had the right size. Finally the day came when she arrived, and when we seen the box we were horrified, it was dented in and had holes in it. And to top it off there was no perishable, fragile, or handle with care markings on the box, since it was shipped via ups, the box was tossed around and who knows what else, cause lets face it if the box doesn’t have some sort of handle with care markings on it ups doesn’t give a crap how its handled.

Well luckily the snake was fine just pretty shaken up, we put her in her tank and let her settle down for awhile. She did settle down fairly quickly. We contacted the people who we got the snake off of and they said that they’ve never had that problem before with shipping and got a little snotty with us, and wanted to hurry and get off of the phone. Well today we tried feeding her and she refused to eat, she acted like she didn’t know what the mouse was. Well we called the owner to ask her if there was some different way she feed her snakes and she told use she feed live mice. So basically she lied to us, today on the phone she said she feed the snake baby mice with their eyes still closed, and she said she feed one baby mouse once a week. And that is entirely to small for a snake of her size. So we confronted her about what she told us a week ago and she denied it.

Wow..Thats really not cool. I can understand somewhat that a shipper has no control over the box once it leaves them but man I cant understand not having markings on the outside of the box. How was the packaging on the inside of the box?

The inside of the box wasn't much better the insulation on the top was ripped in half so the heat was escaping and the packaging peanuts only filled half of box, so the snake most likely took a thrashing. Oh and inside of the bag the snake was in I found a piece of styrofoam.

Man I'm glad the rtb arrived seemingly ok, thats amazing in itself. You would think the lady would have taken atleast a little more pride in what she was representing to her consumer.
