James Hissy Herriot
My little guy is the cutest hisser. He invariably hisses when he is going into shed and will hiss long and loud but never strikes. He has been like this since he was like 47 grams. The mildest sweetest snake, but hissy. I find it so charming.
Anyone else have a hissy bp?

Re: James Hissy Herriot
A few of my hatchling used to hiss, but stopped after a couple of months. I also had an adult female that I purchased as an adult, that used to hiss very loud whenenver I was near her, but stopped also after a few months.

We have one properly named Hissy Fit but that is just because the first time we took her out of the tub to look at her she hissed at us.

He hissed so quietly when he was tiny that you could barely hear it. Now his hiss is bigger. He is very blue today and I peeked in to check on him and he was hissssing. So cute.
I love your snake's name-- HIssy Fit. Pretty cute.

My fiancee came up with the name and it suited her perfectly.

Awww your ball is soo cute. ^_^
I have a girl who's probably about 2 years old now, when I first got her she didn't hiss at all. Now days I think she's more moody. She alllways hisses in shed, even if I don't touch her. (she's like "Don't look at me!" when I move her hide.)
Also lately she occasionally hisses at me if I want to hold her but she's feeling lazy and doesn't feel like leaving her tank. Spoiled little girl.
