Very nice! Do make sure that climbing limb is secure and won't flip or tip when the young boa climbs it. Goes without saying that you check the lid and add extra lid clips if it's got any "give" to it. Boas do like to nose around and even young ones are strong and determined enough to shift a lid that's not completely secure. We used a 40 breeder tank for our son's young male boa and bought black metal lid clips when we noticed Severus pushing on the lid. Boas are very quick about figuring out how their homes open.

Congrats on getting a boa. They are truly fun snakes to live with and if properly socialized as young snakes tend to make a great scaley buddy.

Re: rtb set up, let me know what you think

It says the ambient temps are at 73, is that right or was the enclosure still warming up? 73 is not warm enough for a boa. They need the "coolest" part to be no colder than 78-80.

Other than that, I'm not a fan of heat lamps at all but I understand that sometimes they are necessary.

Re: rtb set up, let me know what you think

yea the tank was still warming up. i had just finished it. the lamp i have to use it because my house stays cold all the time. otherwise the ambient temps would be in the low 70s high 60s. i dont like using the lamp due to humidity problems, but i use cypress mulch and a big water bowl to help with that. ocasionally ill have to spray once a day. but my humidity does not go lower than 56%. thanks
