I have two rats, Sasha and Kinji. Kinji is to be Sasha's cagemate as soon as she is out of quarantine. Kinji is a cream hood and about a month old. In 3 months time, we will be getting a male to breed with Sasha and Kinji. I was wondering what cream hoods tend to make and what would be a good color to pair with her. I love breeding for colors. Sasha is an agouti berkshire.
I've only produced two cream hoods before with my previous colony. Both times I bred the same genetics together to get one. I bred a agouti hood to a black hood and produced the following: albinos, black hoods, agouti hoods, and cream hoods. The first cream hood died and the second got loose and was never recovered.
Any insight to the genetics of cream hoods or agouti berkshires?
