    Hi,

You want to make sure his UTH never ctreates temperatures above 95-100 anywhere he can touch it if possible.

What do you use to control it at the moment? And where and how do you measure the temperatures?

You will need to get your hands on a thermostat or rheostat. the uth temps get way to hot for ball pythons and will burn them.

So there are about three options, first off a rheostat(dimmer):

If your on a budget this is an option but it needs to be adjusted quite frequently

Second, definitely the best to control would be a proportional thermostat like a Herpstat or Helix, but they can be pricey:

And Lastly, an on/off style thermostat offered in some petco's by zilla that run for 50$ or a Ranco or Johnson for 60-80$:

    Helix, Ranco, & Johnson tstats...

    and the zilla one...
    http://www.zilla-rules.com/products/...controller.htm

They will all work, some better and more acurate than others. I currently am using the zilla one and extremely happy with it, but a tstat is a MUST HAVE when dealing with UTHs.

Hope I helped clear up some questions!
