    Talking My New Corns Setup

Let me know what you all think...any improvements I need to make please let me know!
The tank is painted on three sides...hide on warm side, hide on cool side, water bowl, 10gal tank, appropriately sized repti-carpet, some fake foliage in there...

Oh ya...there is also a digital thermometer with a sensor on the opposite side, as well as an analog hygrometer...

Looks VERY nice. I've found that the carpet stuff can be a pain to clean. I used it forever ago when I first started out. You'll probably want to switch to aspen as I think its much easier to deal with. They can also burry in it which they'll often do, especially when they're smaller. Other than that, you'll have a very happy snake on your hand.

    Re: My New Corns Setup

I had the Aspen for some Bp's that I used to have...and a Sand Boa a few years back...but with this little guy for some reason, I just think it looks nice with the carpet...
I do have the sides and back painted flat black though...so hopefully that will provide some added security for it....
    Thanks for the comments though!

    Re: My New Corns Setup

I agree that it looks nice. Its just that keeping it clean becomes a real pain, when I had it urates would get stuck in there and I'd have to scrub forever, and if water was spilled, it doesn't absorb much, so you have to take it out and dry the cage and then make sure the carpet is dry, etc.

Give it ago though and maybe it'll work for you.

I would go with the aspen (use the carpet for a while and you will change your mind messy invention that is), maybe some plastic plants, looks good though!

    Re: My New Corns Setup

I like using aspen as the substrate because corn snakes love to burrow and make tunnels.

I like the wood and leaves and flowers, that looks cool.

I used the carpet stuff until it began to stink even after washing it in the washing machine with some bleach.Your setup looks nice though .
