Re: New RBI Rack!!
Nice rack lol. These racks seem great and worth the upgrade and I'm stuck between Jasons-jungle or RBI. I need one soon so I better make up my mind. Thanks for sharing, --Josh.

Re: New RBI Rack!!
Rich makes the good stuff, don't he?
Nice little setup, Icygirl! I know that some keepers of ball pythons remove hides as their animals get older. I've got eight tubs worth of RBI CB-70 rack, with a RBI hide on the warm end, and a plastic water bowl / hide on the cool. Most of my snakes spend most of their time under the water bowls, LOL.
I would be cautious about keeping the rack on carpet - I found that the carpet will push the center of the bottom up so that the tubs can be difficult to pull out or replace. A piece of plywood under the rack would solve this pretty handily. (It's what Rich recommends on his instruction sheet - but I didn't read it the first time, and as with most things, found out the hard way!)

I read that in the instructions and I do intend on getting some plywood soon... thanks I also noticed the frame seems to sit a little uneven on the carpet. So I think the plywood helps the lifetime of the rack too.
Two of my snakes used to make a game out of flipping their plastic water bowls (especially my corn), and one day I found my corn curled up underneath his flipped water bowl... he ended up getting some scale rot after that. Needless to say they both have ceramic bowls now. My other two still have plastic because they don't generally flip their bowls over, but I intend on replacing theirs as well.... Crazy snakes, don't they know what hides are for??

Re: New RBI Rack!!
Oh well here's something fun... Besides the rack, there are 3 visible things in pic #2 that I bought from Reptile Basics. Who can name them all?
