A Proud Day for me, professionally.
Well. So I was out at work this evening, shooting bullfrogs at my research site, when I come across the most unbelievable thing I've seen at work, ever.
Federally listed as 'threatened' (one short hop from 'endangered'), and gone from almost 70% of their former range. Thought to be extinct in this area (last one was seen in 1952), I devoted 2 years to combing the 4500 acres I call 'work' for any sign these guys might have survived, no dice. And now, 2 years after I had resigned myself to disappointment, there he was.......... hope springs anew that my years of toil were all worth it.

And that, ladies and gents, is why I am addicted to my work.
Cheers,
Kat

Wow, congrats. Only if everyone had the enthusiasm about work that you do maybe our economy would be better. I have never seen anything like that before. I like the picture that looks like he is smiling. Keep these posts coming I like seeing your herping adventures (in your case work).
