My little guy is shedding
No wonder he's been striking at me and skipped his meal!
I noticed this morning however that inside his tank are pieces of the old skin. Is this normal or is the skin supposed to come off all at once?

Supposed to all come off at once. Humidity may have been a bit low.
I would look him over carefully and make all of the skin came off.
Thanks!

Re: My little guy is shedding
His eyes are still cloudy and I can see a dark spot on his chin, I think he may have just started the shed. I noticed his eyes clouding up a few days ago. I just misted his tank and placed a hot towel on top to keep up the humidity.
Also he took a huge turd yesterday, Not that that's relevant at all!

If there are pieces of the skin in the tank and he's used the washroom chances are I would take a guess that he's already tried to shed.
Sounds like he did have a bad shed. Read through this: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43403
Should make sure the eyecaps come off especially if they're still cloudy.
Just my opinion.
Thanks

Make sure to keep an eye on him so the next time he goes into shed you can make sure the humidity is up to about 70%.. From reading on here, eyecaps left on after one shed do not seem to cause problems but after 2 sheds it can become an issue.
If you follow that stick, it should be alright.
Thanks

He's sitting in a tub right now with about 3/4 inch of water, Just soaking away, Seems like he's in a pretty foul mood

Just make sure you put him back in the tub over the uth to keep the water from getting to cold.

Re: My little guy is shedding
Piper,
We have success! I put in the tub and forgot he was in there because I was so wrapped up with making tacos! He was in there about an hour. I then took him out and he turned brown, but I could tell the moisture helped him out so much.
I held his body with the wet towel and he pulled away, When he did I noticed a fresh new coat! Then I kept trying to get him to do the same with his head and after a few tries the shed was complete and I had a happy snake in my hands!
The eye caps came off too, I made sure to see both of them when the head piece came off.
I don't know whos more relieved.. me or him?
Thank you for your help

I pinned the "skin" to the wall near his tank, I'm gonna keep it for memories
