    I got a problem feeder

Hey guys i just was wondering if anyone has tips on how to get my ball python to eat.

Shes about 3 months old in a 20 gallon long with aspen bedding she has two hide spots one on the hot side which is between 82-92 degrees and the cold side which is between 75-80 degrees she has a water bowl closer to the hide spot two climbing branches and some artificial leaves the humidity varies between 25-50.

She wont feed on the mice on her own live or frozen so i assist fed her pinkys and fuzzys for the last 4 weeks but I'm afraid she might become to accustom to assist feeding so i want her to feed on her own.

If anybody could give me a few tips on what would work i would appreciate it.

    Thanks

First trying to feed that offten might be stressing her out..

Here try this.. Loosely crumple up some news paper and put in in her tank all over, making sure none gets in the water bowl.

Leave her be for a week. No cheating! Check her water if you like but don't mess.

After a week get a live mouse and offer in late at night. Just put the mouse in and leave it.

Try that and see how it goes.

How are you controlling the heat? I ask because those are huge swings! You need to try to get the heat a steady 92-94 on the hot side and a steady 82-84 on the cool side. Also, humidity needs to be a steady ~55%.

If you raise the heat to 94F it will increase feeding response as it will quicken the metabolism and trigger a better feeding response.

Filling the space with crumpled paper and leaving her alone for a week is also a great idea and ought to be implemented along with the heat change
