    Re: oil filled radiators heater?

It depends on the temp/size of the room you are trying to heat. We heat 2-3 rooms with oil filler space heaters and it cost about $500 for electric. (That includes standard household electric use too.)

When we hooked up another room in our basement for breeding it was a cold room and it raised our electric bill $120 a month for a heater that ran at all times. We used it for a month then switched to a upstairs room and it is a lot cheaper now.

It really depends on what your electric company charges and the room itself.

for what its worth my room is 70 and i must say its really not a problem.
i dont have any heat in there other than my racks and i only have 50 snakes in a room close to the same size. i do have one of those heaters and i have used it when we didnt have any heat in the basement, but i dont typically use it.

If your only looking to raise the room 10* or so it should not be a problem to heat at all.

Run a fan in the room to circulate the heat and should barely touch your electric bill... that said $70 a month.... that must be nice!!!!

    Re: oil filled radiators heater?

Mine runs about $120.. and when I need to run the oil-filled heater, it's about $150(normally)
Now I'm in florida, so I usually have to regulate the AC vents to the snake room, to keep the room DOWN to 80-85F.
