Turning Green...and Orange?
This is my first GTP. Recently my GTP seems to be turning a bit green between it's eyes, which you can see below. But, also, it seems to be simultaneously turning pretty orange on the neck for the first .5 - 1 inch past the head. Is this normal? Should I take it to the vet, or just take extra pictures?
Sorry for the blurriness.

Re: Turning Green...and Orange?
Yeah, those pics are pretty useless. GTP's all turn green as they change into adulthood and sometimes you get some nice intermediate coloring as well. Nothing to fret about.

I beg to differ. .......about the color of adults.

Re: Turning Green...and Orange?
Indeed? Are there lines that do not end up with coloring that is a variant of green as adults (ie green/yellow, blue/green)?? I'd love a hot pink one.
Cheers,

I do dig chondros (although I do not currently keep them), and those are some absolute smokers, but again, they are all variants on green bases..... I'm not interested in a pissing contest, I just stand by my initial post. I don't feel there is any detraction from the beautiful variations in allowing that they are called Green Tree Pythons for a reason.
Please do post more, they are gorgeous animals.
Cheers,
Kat

Re: Turning Green...and Orange?
Brandon, you win! Way to make up for the crappy cell phone pix.
OP, red is nothing to worry about. Several locals will pick up a orange stage before going green.
