I've never heard of a 25 gallon tank. But it sounds about right for a three footer. Most people who like tanks use 20 gallon long tanks for all but the hugest females. Make sure your tank is short rather than tall. Most come in (high or long). BP's don't need as much space as you may think.

How much do you want to spend? I would personally drop a tank and maybe pick up a boaphile cage( or something like it) or I would go with a rubbermade tub system. They hold humidity way better and with a tub system it is easy to heat. Oh and Welcome to bp.net. As for size of tank ball pythons are in thier hides alot so you don't need as big as what you would think. I did keep a 3 1/2 foot ball in a 40 gallon long. with two hides(always make sure you have two hides). But i could of went smaller.

20 gal. will work just fine. one of my bps is just under 3ft and has plenty of room to move around in his 20gal.
