A few pics of Gordo and Risus...

I was never really big on the whole Ball Python craze until I met Gordo. I was working in a local shop and came across this little guy while feeding and cleaning. (After awhile, they are all just cages and faces with teeth, depending on who the occupant is.)

Anyway.. he caught my eye due to his "clean" appearance. I have a thing for Reduced/Banded ..even before I knew what that was, really.

He's the baby in my avatar, obviously.

He's pretty shy, so I don't take pics of him often

I later discovered that Gordo had been terribly mistreated by his previous person ...he had several "cigarette burns" ..wtf? ...along the length of his body (and the shop owner said he was a "drop off") ...so I brought him home. He's doing great now.. hardly any scars anymore ..and he's probably doubled in size (almost adult male weight/length now).

Then there was Risus.. discovered in a "rat hoarding" situation near a friend's place in Nebraska. She rescues rats, not snakes ..so she made an exception for Risus and shipped him to me.

He was a little underweight ..go figure! ...but none the worse for wear, really.

Fresh out of his shipping box!

Risus is a little shy about eating, too...

So.. these are my boys! I'd love to have some genetic Reduced/Banded (for a project), a Desert Ghost and an Enchii someday, too!

    Nice looking Ball Pythons!

We like the reduced look as well and that is why we picked up our big boy Tanus. He is genetic banded. Hope yours proves out like him. Our boy has also started to get more hypo in appearance since this picture was taken.

    Tanus is beautiful!

Gordo will NOT be bred due to his unknown history ..and the fact that he is a rescue. He's my special "baby", though ...always!

    Thanks for the compliments!
