    Red Iguana

    I say a Red Iguana the other day i really liked it, and im thinking about buying one, but i know nothing about them can anyone point me in the direction of a forums or something or you guys can give some good info here to.... pics are always welcome

    The care for the Reds are identical to the care for the Greens. They are simply another color strain.

    My advice to you if you are thinking of getting one:

    Buy the cage first. Not the tank he will grow up in for the first few months. The cage. The big one.

    It's okay to start out in tanks and upgrade in size as the animal grows.

    I dont start my pythons off in cb70's even tho one day they will be in one.

    no it was at a pound in Manassas im guessing it was an office pet it was HUGE!

    Go to repticzone.com. They have chat forums for Iguanas. I myself have a 7 year old male Green Iggy. If this will be your first Iggy, please read up on them (Iguanas for Dummies). There is a lot of information you need to know before jumping into this reptile as they are creatures of habit and need more attention than most other reptiles. I encourage new owners but always advise that these are fairly difficult reptiles to work with. Let me know if you have any specific questions about their care.
