Question Is loud music a problem?

Hi, I just got a baby Black Pastel! This was 2 days ago, she is still acclimating and I wonder if loud music will make her feel nevous or sacred?? Is it something related to the vibrations?

    Thanks for your time,
    Adrian

Re: Is loud music a problem?

I've got a surround sound system in my room with a sub woofer and neither of my snakes react to it.
I play music pretty much all hours that I'm awake with a range of volumes.
Neither snake minds being handled when I've got my music going because I think they've accepted that whatever is causing the vibrations isn't going to eat them
I also have a sub woofer in my car and they don't mind it blaring during transportation
    I don't know about other people's snakes...

    That's HOT!

I have some loud music playing when I am cleaning and it doesn't seem to bother them at all.

Re: Is loud music a problem?

If the snake has already lived somewhere a while and knows the home area is safe, the vibrations shouldn't bother them...unless the speakers are right next to the enclosure, of course.
However, if the snake is still new to the home and hasn't had a chance to figure out that the area is safe, strong vibrations from really loud music could set back their adjustment time and stress them out.

In the case of new snakes, I just lower the volume on my music until they've been around a few weeks, then I start turning it up gradually so they can get used to it. My sound system is my computer, which is in my QT room, and with this system my snakes don't mind it at all.
