    New England Ice storm!

Who was caught in the Ice storm with no power for days? or still has no power and are in hotels or relatives homes?

I was, I lost power Thursday night around midnight so let's just say I did't get much sleep.
I had to bag up all my snakes, place them all in insulated boxes with heat packs, then placed all the boxes in big tote boxes and placed more heat packs in the tote boxes and stuffed newspaper around all the boxes.
Then work was not cancelled and we sat at work with no power until 10am and then they decided to let us go, so home I went to unload the fridge and freeezer and throw it all in boxes and place everything out on the deck outside.
Saturday night, and dark just set in and it was about 50 degrees in our apartment. So I was getting everyything ready to take my snakes over to my friends house a few towns over who got power back the night before. At this point my girlfriend and I decided we won't be able to sleep here tonight and it was snake evacuation time. Well just getting everything finished for packing and about to leave my apartment and BAM! we got power, my girlfriend and I started jumping up and down with excitement then BOOM! no power again lol.

I was pissed at this point but excited because that was the first sign we've seen of anyone working on getting us power again.
So we waited another 30 or so minutes and it came on and was on to stay!

So losing power which my whole apartment is run by electricity from Thursday night till saturday night was probably the craziest experience I've every been through.
They said almost a 1/2 million people in MA and NH and a small portion of ME had no power and I believe still at this moment some still don't have power.

So I'm praying anyone with reptiles who does not have power still gets power by tonight.

I was lucky. I live in Boston and we never got any of the freezing rain so we never lost power. I was watching the news last night and they said parts of NH may be without electricity for up to 2 weeks. Thats just crazy.

My fiancé's parents live up in Maine and they still don't have their power back.

I can't imagine what its like for places like NERD's facility. They must be running several generators to keep their place warm.
