Re: Ufc fight for the troops
Was that last night in Fayettville, NC? I started watching it late and missed that one. What made me sick was the arm bar where the guy got his arm broke and his opponent was dancing around the ring bragging about it. Then said in the post fight interview with Joe that he had been waiting for the opportunity to break someones arm. I know accidents happen but he should be banned for his actions IMO.

yea it was last night, but it was an under-card fight that was not shown on T.V.

That's messes up - poor Hill. He came into the how TUF with no experience, and was doing alright for himself. What an unfortunate injury. It's happened in K-1 a few times.
on a side note, i can't wait to watch nogs ''constrict'' mir.

In the sport of mixed martial arts, when your right arm gets bent in direction not intended by the creators of the human body, that's not a good thing.
Sorry about those pesky ligaments, muscles and bones in that right arm of yours, Razal Al-Hassan.
Steve Cantwell, 7-1 and former WEC light heavyweight champ, locked Al-Hassan in an armbar. Al-Hassan tried to roll out of it but Cantwell held on to it, forcing refereee Mario Yamasaki to stop the fight for the technical knockout with 56 seconds left in the first round.
"I've been waiting so long to do that, you have no idea," Cantwell said.
No ill will intended toward Al-Hassan (7-1), I don't think. More like Cantwell was just excited to finally be in the UFC.
The light heavyweights traded punches in the beginning of the fight, but Cantwell got the advantage at the 2:27 mark when he connected on a right kick to Al-Hassan's head. That allowed Cantwell to get inside and score the takedown.
Cantwell got ground control, then passed Al-Hassan's guard to gain side control. That led to a full mount which led to the arm bar and the win.
Seriously, it might just be the nastiest non-bloody scene you'll see inside the Octagon. You need to catch the rerun on Spike TV whenever it is. It's filthy. It looked like an architect's broken compass.

I disagree with you, anybody that has ever been put in an armbar in competition knows how much it hurts. I compete but at an amateur level, I am not pro. And we all know when its time to tap, and if you dont its your own fault, and we got to see what happens when you dont tap

I agree. If you are either to stupid or to proud, the line between the two is kind of blurry sometimes, to tap then it is your own fault. Now if the guy had tapped and then Cantwell didn't break the hold and broke his arm. Then yes he needs to be banned.

Re: Ufc fight for the troops
I'm not saying it was not his fault...he definately should have tapped, I'm just disagreeing with the actions after the break. He actually ran over and looked at him and made a breaking motion with his hands. He should have been celebrating the win, not the break.
