    thermostat help!!!

    i just got a used DBS-1000 and i cant set the temp on it... i looked up the users guide on there site and it says to hold the button for 5 sec and then you can change it. but its not working for me..

    right now im just using a fw old heat pads i have cuz im still in the process of building my rack and put the felxwat in and everything.


    so yeah you guys think it could be broken?? i got it off ebay for 80bux is im kinda outa luck if it is :/.

    yes you have to hold it for five seconds, but you have to continue holding it while it scrolls through the temps. and then let go when you reach the desired temp.

    yeah, thats what i figured. kinda like setting the time on a digital clock right?

    but when i hold it down the numbers dont change. i think i may have worked though, because when i first plugged the pads in and waited a few hours so they were all the way hot, it was like 106* and then i tried turning them down and nothing happened. but now i looked at it this after noon and its down to 92*.. and the ambient temp in my apt only really changes as it gets cooler at night.. so i duno what the deal is.. :/
