    Aquarium?

    Could an Aquarium be fit to store Reptiles?
    I'm not afraid of snakes, because I got Balls!

    Well, first off I would not 'store' reptiles...I would house them.

    And yes, glass tanks can be made into perfectly working enclosures with a little work. It doesn't work for everyone, and some snakes just don't take well to them, but for me tanks work better than tubs.

    Thanks, i use a vivarium currently, but i noticed fish aquariums were a lot cheaper and didn't know what the big difference was.

    The main difference between reptile vivs and fish tanks, other than a higher price, is that fish tanks are often heavier and more solid being made to hold hundreds of pounds of water. Also, many reptile tanks these days are made with 'slide-n-lock' screen tops which are more secure, and some are now being made of acrylic.

    But a normal fish aquarium will do the job just as well as long as you insulate the back and sides and foil or plastic treat the screen top.

    How do you insulate the back and sides? Like, what kind of material and such?
