not eating because of shed?

i went to go feed my BP today sence it was feed day and he never went for it in 20 mins he looked like he would and was about to strike they it would move and he would move away i waited 20 then took it out i got home from work tonight and tryed again. looked like he was going to strike and he didint and went away. he is about to shed (i think) he has stormy looking eyes and a dull body and has wrinkles on his neck when he turns,as far as i know i think hes about to shed. do you think he isint eating because of this? just wondering thanks alot.

they don't eat when they are in full shed I wait till they clear up a day or two before they shed they will eat

My little guy just went into the blue eye, wrinkly neck mode yesterday, and I don't expect him to eat on his normal schedule tomorrow. I'll offer, but I doubt he'll take it. This is my first shed with him so I'm not sure what his full behavior will be, but so far it's been pretty much what I expected from what others have related here on the Forum.

My little man just shed last week and refused to eat for seven days. So I waited a few days after he shed and then he finally ate.

All snakes are somewhat different and so I always offer food on feeding day. Most of my snakes will feed whether they are in shed or not; even when in deep blue.

I prefer for the snake to choose whether to eat or not

My snake does the same exact thing as yours during a shed; express interest, tongue flick a lot, even go right up to the mouse and "nuzzle" it, but in the end she seems unsure of what to do/what the thing I'm dangling in front of her is. So I give it a couple more blasts from a hair dryer and she nails it every time.

Making sure the rodent is extra warm may give her the confidence she needs as she is blind as a bat right now but waiting to feed after the shed certainly won't harm her.

I agree... I feed on feeding day and they choose. I own a spider morph that will eat no matter what.

I got this spider bp too and he eats whatever the situation. Deep shed is nothing (although he ended up swallowing from the tail - couldn't see the rat properly, I guess). He ate even with the humidity problems I was getting that caused my pastel bp to fast for 2 weeks. I read up on some other thread that spiders may have that head wobble thing but they make up for it by feeding consistently.
