Re: growing rate of a retic
Every snake is going to grow at it's own rate. You may just have a slow grower. If you are conserned about it's growth rate, you can take a fecal sample to the vet to check for parasites, but as long as it is eating and shedding, I wouldn't worry about how fast it is growing.

Re: growing rate of a retic
As long as you make sure and handle her regularly, she shouldn't go psycho on you unless you give her a reason to. Mine's just a baby though... so that's just what I've heard...

Re: growing rate of a retic
You're retic was maintenece fed before you got it.
Meaning it was fed enough so that it wouldn't look like it was starving. But fed so little that it wouldn't grow fast in the previous keepers care.
Because of thise, it's metabolism has slowed down, thus it will grow a lot slower.

I'd wait a while before you do that.
I know a couple people who bought many retics at one time while they had little experience and it just completely overwhelmed them between the feeding and the upkeep of housing.

Re: growing rate of a retic
i had already bought them im waiting for them thell be here in the morning.
but yea thats true about over wealming but i have help in with my local herp breeder but there just some thing that i still need to grasp but these are just babys,, but yea your right ,,, my tiger i got from my local pet store and i notice that they were small for there age but i was told that i could get them back to rapid growth but they said it would take a while,,,, but the retic that are comeing in are from bob clark and prehistoic pets.. so they should be in great health and size. do you have any retics of your own,,
