    acurite thermometer

    I just got this acu-rite thermometer /humidity w/ probe my question is wheres the best spot to place the probe And should I keep the whole unit inside the tank and if so wheres the best place to put it at?

    The ideal place for the probe is against the floor of the tank right over the UTH. The warm side hide will hold down the wire.

    As for the unit, you need it to be inside to measure humidity. I place mine low on the center back of the enclosure (it should be just above the substrate no matter where you place it) to read ambient temps since I have another probed acurite reading the cool side temps in my cages. If you don't want to do that, then place the unit on the cool side to read that temp.
