i fed mine an appropriately sized mouse once a week and he did just fine. and as he grew i just bumped him up to small rats once a week and i dont think he even noticed a difference.

Right now I'm feeding my little guy a fuzzy every 5 days. I'd go to once a week if I could find hoppers around here, as it would be the next progression up the size ladder. Once he get's big enough for full grown mice, I'll prolly cut back to once every 7 days and just increase the size of his dinner as he gets bigger. Only reason I'm feeding him every 5 days right now is due to the small size of the fuzzies.

sometimes it's hard to find a rodent the exact width of the wideset part of the snake, and it's better to go a little too small than too big in that case. Once a week is the general rule, but like slim said if the prey is just a little smaller than ideal you can do every 5 days.

If the snake is just a baby, like under 300 or 400g, then I feed every 5 days. If larger than that I feed every 7 days. Once they hit 1500g or so, I feed every 7 or 8 or 9 days. I figure since the prey they are getting is larger, it takes longer to digest

    Ryan-
We're here to help. If you don't want to answer a question within a post then please don't

OP: Ask away. Sometimes the search doesn't bring up what you're after. And again, if it's a wee baby, every 5 days is what most people recommend.
