Big Bloodred! DU DOOM!

Well, we had a bit of a photoshoot the other night with the balls and this guy.

This is Thor. He's my big old bloodred cornsnake (1200g and over 5 feet!). Some people have suggested that he may be a hybrid rat/corn which I don't discount but he's got the head pattern of a corn, he's definitely got all the signs of being a bloodred and he's got the corn personality. He's a bit of a fattie and I've had him on a diet for a while (an xl mouse every 10 days) but he still manages to gain weight so I'm probably gonna move him to a new enclosure soon, something bigger with stuff to climb around and more room to move (he's in a 41qt tub right now but he's usually just sitting in the corner). He's got some scars on him from his previous home, I don't really know what happened but judging from his feeding response (or really lack thereof) a mouse or rat got a couple good chomps on him. They're fully healed, the just look scary.

He's a freakin sweetheart and the calmest snake I own, he'll even let people pet his head!

I think he was just getting ready to shed in these pics so it's not quite his full color but he's still beautiful.

Thanks! Me too. Bloodreds are my favorite corns by far. I just need to find him a nice girlfriend soon .

Absolutely. I just thought it was funny I came across that thread right as I was putting these pictures up . And he's a bit of an abnormality in corns. Most do not get this big and if you're going to breed your female at all I'd doubt she ever gets this size at least until she's retired .

My biggest is Connor, my anery male, he doesn't weigh as much as your big boy but he is right about 5 ft. long. I love big hefty corn males!!!
