So it looks like I'll be getting an albino king later on in the week and I have done my research. I wanted to get advice on what, if there are any differences between King snakes and ball pythons with regards to tank care.

You don't need as much heat, less humidity, aspen or cypress substrate, general stuff.
Kingsnakes and cornsnakes are generally pretty simple, with a little heat ranging the warm side in the mid 80's, you will have a thriving snake with regular household humidity.

Easier in husbandry than a ball definitely. A bit more difficult to handle. ;]

I dont heat my kings/milks tubs at all past room temp....and I use newspaper for them.

That's pretty awesome stuff lol....I put quite a bit of money in to my Ball's viv, and I am quite relieved that I won't have to do nearly as much. The owner now said he hadn't shed in like two months, is that normal?

If its an adult then I wouldnt worry much about the shed....if its a young one, sounds like possible lack of food.

Kings are just an awesome snake to own. I have 2 albinos right now and IMO they are a couple of the most beautiful snakes I own . Call me fruity but I love a purple snake lol. They are extremely easy to care for. I just set up a display viv for my biggest one last night, it's great because since they have little to no humidity requirements and heat requirement is so low I was able to set it up in about half an hour. Most of that time was just getting some aluminum foil on the bottom and setting up the t-stat but if you get it set up ahead of time and you don't have more than a 5 degree +/- temperature in your room a rheostat would work just as well as a thermostat I just happened to have an extra one around.

Well the current owner said it's around 21 inches. So I'm guessing it's still fairly young.
