    Peed on....Again..

    Oh the luck I have!!

Tonight was the 3rd, yes 3rd, night I have been peed on by Desmo...

Ok..funny the first time, kinda the second and tonight not so much (the most Ive ever seen from him and very tacky)!! lol

    But heres a few questions...

Is it possible for him to be sooooo relaxed when he's chilling with me that he should begin making this a routine?? Could this become routine? and most of all is this NORMAL??

Generally when he's out he'll adventure a bit and then curl up in my lap or in the front pocket of my sweatshirt... Then I notice "it" when I stand up or get him out of the pocket..

If anyone can offer any advice, or humor (yes laughing on the floor and pointing while reading this post will be accepted), I would greatly appreciate it!!!! lol

don't let him associate peeing on you with being put back in his cage.

Other than that, I don't have any advice, but I wish you luck in not beeing peed on.
I just got peed/pooed on by my boy crestie for the first time tonight. Quick rinsed it off and continued having him out for another 10 mins before putting him back in his cage. I don't think he was stressed, they just go when they need to go, but it's good to let them know that peeing isn't a go-back-to-your-home-free card

I went 7 years before my corn snake peed on me for the first time. I guess some snakes are better at it than others.

    Re: Peed on....Again..

He may not be peeing b/c he is so relaxed. He may be stressed.

From looking at your other posts he's still a fairly new snake right? How often do you handle him? It may help to just get him out for maybe 5 mins. at first, then put him up. Do that several times, then bump the time up. If he starts peeing on you, go back to a shorter time. Some snakes will take longer than others to adjust to being handled. Peeing/pooping can be used as a defense mechanism, so if he's getting freaked out, that may be his way of telling you. I know the only time my girl has peed when I've had her out is when I had to hold her still to keep her out of sight of some people. She freaked b/c she was being gripped by this huge predator (which we are to them) and she peed on me. I'm not saying that is definitely what's going on in your case, but it's a good possibility. Especially since they really don't pee that often.

And this may be in your other posts, but where did you get him from?

    Re: Peed on....Again..

^^^ A little history on him:

I got him the beginning of August this year from the mom-n-pop store here in town.. They have been great! He was/is still a small tyke!!

I handle him a couple times a week. Always 2-3 days after he eats so not to interrupt his digestion. Length of times holding him varies sometimes only a few minutes other times maybe around 20 minutes. He doesnt ball up and "act" stressed. Usually checking things out or just relaxing. It seems that he does this after adventuring. He's on a regular eating schedule (every Monday)

When I go to put him back into his tank he acts like he doesnt want to go back into it, he'll turn and try to go up my arm and I have to peel him off my hand to put him back on the substrate.
