Mature Bloodreds
Does anyone have a picture of a full grown bloodred? I've mostly only been able to find babies online but they go through a pattern/color change throughout their growth right? Thanks.

Re: Mature Bloodreds
It depends on the line and if they have been crossed out with albinos, amels, etc....typically this deep red is a little uncommon...usually more like this...http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...akes/opie1.jpg
Best idea is to see the parents, what you see is probably what you will get.

Re: Mature Bloodreds
I believe when you pick out babies, you want the one with the most grey on the head- they usually have the deepest color when they grow.
I *might* be getting one at the show in Madison tomorrow

Re: Mature Bloodreds
I imagine that that blood in the first pic from SMR is atleast 5 years old. Bloods will loose most if not all of there pattern by 5 years of age. The blood in the second pic is probably around 3 years of age.

Re: Mature Bloodreds
Thanks for the replies. And your bloodred is very sharp, wolf!
I ended up getting an Abbott Okeetee this past weekend. Her colors were so vibrant that I couldn't not get her! But I'm sure I'll be getting a bloodred sometime down the road. Corn snakes are just so irresistible. : )

Re: Mature Bloodreds
Here's my definitely fully grown bloodred. He's 1200+g and over 5 ft long. He's not a perfect example of the morph but he was my first corn and he's got the greatest personality ever.
