How sad. He was a very good writer. I have read his novel Prey, and really enjoyed it. I also watched The Andromeda Strain the other day, and enjoyed it.

Dang. My library will definitely miss his works.

I really liked Next and State of Fear.

    Re: RIP Michael Crichton

As much as I love to read, I must admit I've never read one of his novels. I have seen the movie versions of those that were made into movies.

However, as a medical professional, I have to say I've been watching ER since DAY ONE and am probably the last person on earth who still watches it and will be sad to see it go in the spring It had a great run and I think he created one of the most authentic fictional portrayals of medicine on television.
