I got a couple shed pictures!

I got a couple pictures of the snakes before and while shedding. So cool!!!
(this was my first time seeing a snake shed!)

My sister's normal male....their eyes are SOOO creepy!

The color change is amazing! It was nice seeing him nice and bright again!

The pastel, I actually caught him in the act!!! (I had to take the newspaper out because I sprayed him a little too much )

I don't think his shed is coming off as nicely as it's supposed to. My sister's male got it off in one entire piece. My pastel's seems to be coming off in pieces... I put a fist sized rock to give him something to rub on. Maybe that will help. The hide he has doesn't have any rough surfaces.

balls (and any other snakes) should shed in one piece, like a rolls up sock. that broken shed is a sign that the humidity level is a bit dry or she/he is dehydrated.

Yes and no. First off, all my snakes have appropriately sized bowls with daily fresh water. For some reason my adult sheds in pieces while everyone else sheds whole. I have no idea why. My humidity in both my room and my snake room is naturally at 55%, and during shedding I bump it up to 70%. He just...never sheds in one piece, lil freak

To the OP: I love that post-shed pic
