I did a google search for "reptistat" and didn't find anything. I've never heard of these. Anyone care to enlighten me or post a picture?

Re: Reptistats are garbage!!!
Herpstat is my favorite for all of their built in safety features. Helix is second best, in my opinion

Re: Reptistats are garbage!!!
they are the zoomed garbage thermostat. i have my eye on the herpstat 2 pro. this one is dual probe and each probe works independently of each other so you can run to different types of heating. im planning on using one on my new rack that has large and small tubs so im using 4" and 11". should work great and the price isnt too bad. about the same as 2 units.

where do you keep the probe on this?
Ive been using these for a few years now ( The zoo med 500R Thermostats, NOT the Rheostats), and havent had any issues with them. ( i also run a Herpstat)
What size flexwatt are you using with it? Or are you using something else?

Re: Reptistats are garbage!!!
I'm curious to know this as well, I have a reptistat (I'm pretty sure that's what it is.) and It's actually been fairly accurate for me.

They are Zoo med ReptiTemps. There is the 500R which is a controlled thermostat, on and off style. And then there is a the ReptiTemp Rheostat, which is a dimmer, always ON type of heat control.

Mine's the On/Off, when the room is uuber quite I can hear it turning on/off. But It's been maintaining stable temps of 89-90 for the week I've had it, so so far no qualms...

Yeah, ive had mine for a couple years now, maybe slightly longer. No issues.
One person who pointed me towards them in the beginning is still using them ( and others) to this day, and has not mentioned any problems with them.
