Children's Python pics
This is a new Children's Python I picked up in a trade. I am very happy with her, and it has been a long time coming for me to finally keep some antaresia pythons.

These are some fun snakes!

They were named after a man with the last name Children - John Children.

Very nice. I have a male. I had a line on a female but it fell through. I hope to get a female one day.

Re: Children's Python pics
You guys got it, John George Children was an English naturalist in the early 1800's and one of his associates named the python in honor of his mentor. That info was found in VPI's amazing book "Pythons of the World: Australia" and is a book I highly recomend for any Aussie python fan.
While not very colorful, the snakes are docile, great feeders and lets face it snakes are designed to camoflage themselves and not stick out like a piece of cotton candy. I think I am just working my way into a better balance of man-made beauties and natures earthy elegance.

She is one gorgeous example of a childreni!!
I enjoy working with the Antaresia complex. They are such great snakes. I actually have a patternless Children's I picked up back in Feb.
