    Advice on wires

Using an aquarium, I have to have wires in the encloser. The snake likes climbing on them, but I would rather he didn't for fear of him getting tangled. I am thinking of running molding over the wires and affixing the molding with aquarium sealant. Has anybody found good ways to secure the wires from the t-stat probes and temp probes?

I bury mine under the paper and aspen and then weigh them down with the hides and other decor. If I have cords going out of the tank or tub, I run them up a corner where it's less likely the snake will pull on them.

Fixing them in position would make it hard to readjust, move, or replace them IMO.

I weigh mine down with the hides as well. I see your point about being able to move which is why I was going to use aquarium sealent if I give it a try. It is non toxic, and it would be simple to remove the trim and then reaply with the silicone. Thanks for the input.

what kind of substrate do you use? I found when I used cage carpet the wires would get in the way but when I switched to aspen (which I did simply because it was easier to spot clean) it was much easier to bury the wires and haven't had an issue since

Plastic molding and aquarium sealant sounds like a good idea. Problem solved.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

    Re: Advice on wires

I've heard of using a dot of hot glue to keep the wires in place. I haven't tried it, but it sounds easy enough to remove and redo when necessary...
