    I finally got it!

    I think im prepared....

I purchased a 12x12x12 used exo terra habitat, the rainforest kind, this guy gave the sand (which i discarded), 2 hides, water dish, and the light fixture at the top with it.

I brough it home, discarded the sand, completely sterlized it with a little of dawn dishwashing detergent and clorox bleach cleaner, every inch of it. LOL

Went to walmart and bought vines, 2 pieces of black foam board, sticky velcro, some of those plastic hooks to hold the vines up inside, and some kitchen foam shelf liner, the non sticky kind for the bottom of the cage(i hate using paper towels its unattractive, my cages are in my living room). The velco is used to hold the foam board on both sides of the tank, and can be removed easily for viewing purposes.

I cut the shelf liner into a 11x11 square (will be cutting several for easy changing as needed), added the hooks, inserted the vine with a line across the cage for walking, and then all around the sides. total about 6 foot of vine. Added the two hides and the water dish. Then put sticky velcro on the foam boards and attached to the sides.

I went to petsmart looking for a 15 or 25 watt red light for night viewing but they didnt sell that small wattage in red. So ill have to order online.

I also purchased some bedding but am not sure how to use it unless I use the bottom of a butter bowl cut in half. Ill have to figure that one out. I may not use it unless they really need to burrow and dig.

For CGD ill probably be using a lid from a small pickle jar or some such when I find a small enough one.

Here is pics, any suggestions? What am I missing?

Looks good. I just want to add that those dial thermometers aren't very acurite. You may want to get a digital one. Can't wait to see who's gonna be the happy inhabitant!

    looks really nice.

Def get rid of those dial thermometers and hygrometers.
Walmart has digital ones that measure temp in 2 spots and humidity...and they are relatively cheap.

I'm gonna have to steal that shelf liner idea...it looks sharp and pleasing to look at.

Ps. what in the cage next it???

and I also have that exo terrra tank but the 18x18x18 version.. I noticed that u put paper towels in those 2 spaces on the top the foam insert...I idd the same thing.. many crickets...and even sometimes my gecko would go there to chill. and its annoying to move all the vines and stuff in order to get them out.

    Re: I finally got it!

yeah they are very hard to read, i agree, but they came with and will stay until i get something else in the near future maybe even today. LOL

the cage next to it is a 18x18x18 and my ballpython is housed in it.

I added the paper towel not for crickets but to keep the gecko out of the back lol and i guess the crickets will stay out too when i feed him them as treats.
