How does an adult male BCC compare in size to an adult female BCI?

I would say they are about the same, however the female BCI has the capability to get a bit larger.

Re: male BCC vs. female BCI size

I honestly don't think BCC get as big as some think they do. They may have reportedly been larger in some cases, but my 4 year old Suriname BCC female is only 6.5 feet and I have some 3 year old BCI female's that are all of 7 feet. BCI are much easier to care for though, BCC don't do well with ANY husbandry errors at all.

To answer your question though- An adult BCI female should in most cases be MUCH bigger than a BCC male.

I would have to agree that a female bci would be much bigger in most cases. I did however had an abnormally large male bci. He was 8 ft. Most bcc that I can think of off hand dont normally get very large.

I couldn't agree more! This is a concept that is thrown way out of proportion IMO. "BCC reach 8-12 feet"....Okay sure, but honestly, how many 10ft plus BCC have you seen out there? Not that many.
    .
Male BCC do have the capability to get large, especially if you have no intent on breeding them. But they don't get that big. Plus, you cannot compare a male to female regardless of the ssp. because of how much more girth females pack on.

Depends on the kind of boa you are looking at getting. Not just Imperator or Constrictor.

What does this mean? How does breeding them or the conditions they would be kept in if they were going to be bred affect the size of the snake. I know nothing about breeding boas so please inform. Thanks.
