Question
I currently have 2 boas, 1 albino, and 1 central american, also have numerous bps, but my question is...do boas usually stay in there hides all day? They never come out, my temps are good, about 92 on the hot side, humidity is good, everything....but I see alot of pictures and stuff of other peoples boas, and there also out climbing, etc, while mine stay hidden all day, and even at night. Is this normal?

Re: Question
I have a couple that do but most stay out of their hides, if your husbandry is good I would not worry about it.

Re: Question
I've got a yearling boa who likes her hide, a yearling boa who never used a hide, and a baby boa who prefers her branch!

Re: Question
I stopped offering a hide after mine outgrew his large yogurt container hide thing I made him. Hasn't had one for over 4 months now and no ill effects. Of course I do have some fake plants/branches that he can kinda get lost in.

Re: Question
I have a yearling who almost never uses his hide. One week he decided to use it, but usually he stays out in the open. I just put aspen in the enclosure, now he plays worm
