feeding day...need help!!
Last night was feeding night, and had a bit of an issue that i need help with,
My little guy refused to eat, he killed it but would not eat it. I left it for an hour and then tossed it.. I was thinking it was a color issue, i have been feeding him little white mice...and the one that he killed and did not eat was dark gray, and i offered a white mouse today, and all he did was sniff at it and curl back in a ball. I think he is stressed from the move to a new house (tub) I dont have food to keep the mouse alive till next week, and I already feed my big guys 2 mice each....do you think that it would be ok to just give the left over mouse to one of my big guys and just go a little longer till i feed him next?

Giving the left over mouse is fine, i hate wasting money. But dont worry about the little guy give him a week dont take him out, just let him chill and get use to his new home and try to feed him next week. Hes just a little shell shocked. Hope this helps you out

Re: feeding day...need help!!
As long as all of your animals have been tested for parasites, and cleared quarantine, it's probably all right.
In general, swapping refused rodents to other snakes is a bad idea--illnesses can easily be transmitted in that fashion.

If you've had him for 90 + days, and he's tested recently clear of parasites...probably.

Re: feeding day...need help!!
I would not risk it if you haven't had him for 90 days. That's a minimum quarantine period because there's a very deadly and serious illness that can have an incubation period almost that long. It's safer not to risk the lives of other snakes you own over a $1.30 mouse.
